Meister Eckhart: Trinitarian Insights and Sermons

Meister Eckhart was controversial when he was alive and he remains controversial today. Though he was never excommunicated or declared a heretic, he came very close, dying before his case was decided in Rome. 

Eckhart has been quoted by Pope Saint John Paul II and Thomas Merton in modern times. While his theology has become more mainstream over the years, his understanding of God remains mysterious (and perhaps that tells us he was on to something). 

This package contains:

• A slide presentation covering Meister Eckhart's understanding of the Trinity.
• Summaries of the first ten of Meister Eckhart's homilies from the “The Complete Mystical Works of Meister Eckhart,” edited and translated by Maurice O’C Walshe, with forward by Bernard McGinn.

These materials may be used to gain an understanding of Meister Eckhart's theology concerning the indistinct, sheer indescribable, ineffable, holy and infinite mystery of God.
